The Grand Illusion (Language and Belief) Have you ever had the experience of waking up from a dream and realizing that everything was completely different in your awakened state? This is exactly how most people live life; asleep or in a dream state merely trying to cope with what we call "normal" in society. However, "normal" is shifting, and people are becoming aware that there is something more out there beyond what we have. Chapter Two - Designing a New Life A. Human Transformation (What does it take to make a shift?) B. How Beliefs and Habits are Formed (Context and Content) C. Transcending Limited Belief D. Uncloaking Barriers (Blocking the Flow - The Log-jam) E. 8 Barriers (Fear/Faith, Truth/Belief, Thoughts/Feelings, Resistance/Acceptance, Judgment/Compassion, Resentment/Forgiveness, Chaos/Completion, Reactive/Proactive) F. Being in the Moment (The Flow) G. Higher Purpose and Calling (What do you hear when you listen?) In the great Northwest, the logging industry, sad to say, will fill the rivers with hundreds and thousands of trees from butchered forests creating a block in the actual surface level flow of the river. These logjams give us a great picture of how, in a similar fashion, we create barriers in the flow of our own life. This chapter will start to explain how we can begin to free up our flow. The distinctions are about designing a new life, and thus we begin our journey - the flow, or path, if you prefer. Chapter Three - Grubbing and Clearing A. Bulldozing (Taking a Good Look at Resentment & Fear) B. Self Inventory (Surrender, Process Emotions Directly, Acceptance & Acknowledgment, Compassion, Forgiveness, Completion, Declaration) Before we build a house, or at least before tract homes were the norm, we would go to a place in the woods where we wanted our lot, and start to clear away the debris so we could lay down a foundation. This process is known as grubbing and clearing. Human transformation works the same way; one must remove all of the old remnants so that a new foundation can be put in place. |
